Avenue of the Arts Costa Mesa, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

A charming, artsy hotel with a distinctive character. One of the few places where the rooms feature hardwood floors There’s also a pleasant artificial water feature beside the property. The check-in process was a bit unusual: guests are asked whether they plan to use the in-room bar fridge, and if so, they’re given a key to unlock the cabinet it’s kept in. Accessing the parking area is slightly inconvenient, as you need to exit the hotel and re-enter through the car entrance. Despite rooms showing as available in the app, no upgrade was offered.

We had the most wonderful stay at Avenue of the Arts Costa Mesa for Abby’s special birthday getaway! From the moment we arrived, the front desk team greeted us so warmly and made us feel right at home. The lobby is absolutely stunning — elegant, modern, and full of creative details that immediately set the tone for a luxury stay. We stayed in the Junior Suite, and it was beyond expectations — spacious, beautifully designed, and even had a private fenced backyard, which was perfect for our pup. Every detail was thoughtfully done and made our stay extra comfortable. The location is unbeatable — just steps from a beautiful lake where we enjoyed peaceful walks surrounded by ducks and turtles. It felt like a little oasis in the middle of Costa Mesa! What truly made our experience so special was how pet-friendly this hotel is. Abby was spoiled with her own birthday room service dinner and breakfast from the Pet Menu, plus adorable pet amenities waiting in the room. It’s rare to find a luxury hotel that’s this welcoming to pets and their owners. We can’t recommend Avenue of the Arts enough — whether you’re visiting for a relaxing getaway, a celebration, or traveling with your furry family member, this place is an absolute gem. We can’t wait to come back!

Quiet, romantic spot . Super friendly staff, everyone is very accommodating. The rooms were well equipped with just about evening we needed. I didn't like that the gift shop closed early, we kind of wanted snacks . Room service was outstanding. Delicious!! We had dinner at the Silver Trumpet. Expect to spend about 50 to $60 per person, possibly a lil more, depending on the consumption of alcohol. It is a romantic little restaurant and the food is pretty delicious. The only negative I guess that we have, is that they didn't have the whiskey that we wanted or the Caymus, Cabernet Sauvignon that I wanted. They only had the Shiraz. Other than that it was very nice!!

Another great week stay in their junior suite celebrating My birthday with my friend whom has the same bday! We really appreciate the staff and the beautiful decor. I love the sauna in gym... Such a great touch! I love the location. The restaurant has inviting decor. And our server was really kind and attentive. 10/10. I love this hotel! We will be back.

I usually stay at the Westin or Marriott nearby, but this will be my new regular hotel to stay at. The only downside is that it doesnt have an M lounge, but they offer free breakfast to compensate. My room is fantastic and service was flawless

We had a wonderful stay in the lake view room. The hotel has a very good vibe situated in the nice area of arts performing center. Walking distance to the south coast shopping mall and many upscale restaurants. The front desk supervisor, Salvador, was very friendly and knowledgeable from my first phone call before the check-in to our checkout. He addressed every need for us. The parking of the hotel is convenient with in and out although it is a bit pricey. We will definitely stay there for our future visits to the performing center.

Pretty good hotel and very reasonable price. Neighbor incredible and safe. Cheap parking across the street. Bed comfy. Linen clean. Room very big. Water is hard with sulphur smell. Need to get your own bottled water for brushing teeth.
